The “Values-Oriented Indigenous Centre for Excellence” (referred in the following by its acronym, V.O.I.C.E.) is a not-for profit charitable organisation with primary focus on providing viable, culturally-sensitive and client-oriented social service solutions designed to improve at all levels the welfare, wellbeing and social functioning of all Australians.

While it is expected that the main beneficiaries will be children and adolescents of Indigenous Australian heritage, V.O.I.C.E. will have an “open doors”, non-discriminatory policy, accepting clients and working with communities of all cultures, religions and ethnic backgrounds, irrespective of their age, gender, political or sexual orientation.

All the services provided by V.O.I.C.E. will be offered to our clients free of charge, with the exception of programs, projects, training or initiatives we are contracted to deliver for other Governmental or Non-Governmental department and organisations. Our main financial resources come from donations and funding applications (Government Tenders and Philanthropic Grant Applications) and – in line with our Constitution and not-for-profit status – all profits recorded are reinvested into our activity.

Our philosophy as an organisation and the theoretical foundation behind our strategic plan and all our programs, projects, training or initiatives have been developed following extensive and in-depth examination and meta-analysis of papers, studies and research that have been completed nationally and around the world on issues concerning social policies and social services, combined with the knowledge and expertise of our research and development team, who total over 50 years hands-on experience in social services, police, corrections and program delivery.

All precautionary measures have been taken in the papers, materials and programs produced by our research and development team to avoid any accidental breach of copyright or other breaches of intellectual property rights. Sources, references and bibliography are included as necessary in every document and can be made available by request to any reader. We acknowledge ownership and authorship for all materials we use and, wherever possible, we make all the reasonably expected attempts to contact authors/owners and request their approval before using any of their work. The “Acknowledgements” button on our website (www.voiceqld.com) provides an overview of all people and organisations that have directly or indirectly contributed to and/or supported our activity, including recognition of all copyright and intellectual property rights for information and materials used by V.O.I.C.E. in our day-to-day activity.

The papers, materials and programs produced by our research and development team are not produced for commercial purposes and we provide free access to anybody interested to consult them. In line with our not-for-profit status, V.O.I.C.E. will never seek financial gain for any of its members out of the work completed for our clients or the theoretical papers that form the philosophy of our organisation.

If at any time, there is anybody who feels their intellectual property rights have been breached, we encourage them to contact us so we can rectify the situation as soon as possible.
